at University Center Restaurant
The University Center Restaurant will present a summertime lunch buffet that
includes a presentation of fresh salads, grilled chicken and julienne steak
with toppings, condiments, and dressings alongside custom-made omelets filled
with a choice of garden vegetables and select meats, cheeses, and seafood. Top
the meal off with a selection of cakes, cookies or ice cream. This special buffet
is available Tuesday, Aug. 22 and Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
for $11.95 per person (beverages additional). The University Center Restaurant
is located at the west entrance to the University Union across from the Student

The Textbook Department at the Hornet Bookstore opens Monday, Aug. 14 for customers,
both in the store and online. New faculty members or faculty members who have
recently been assigned a class should ensure that textbook requests have been

Construction
update
The Infrastructure
II utilities upgrade project continues in various locations. Sanitary sewer
pipe installation near Shasta Hall may disrupt pedestrian traffic during the
week. Detours will be in effect. Installation will close Lot 1 between Facilities
Services and the Health Center during the latter half of the week. The sewer
lines have been installed south of the esplanade. The RT Bus Stop will resume
its operations at the normal stops on Monday, Aug. 14.
Paving repair
on State University Drive West and State University Drive (in front of Facilities
and Sacramento Hall) will start Monday, Aug. 14 and will continue through Wednesday,
Aug. 16. State University Drive West will be closed to through traffic from
Sinclair Road to State University Drive on Monday, Aug. 14. Detour signs will
be placed appropriately. Traffic controls also will be established on State
University Drive West from Hornet Stadium to Sinclair Road on Tuesday, Aug.
15 and along the entire length of State University Drive on Wednesday, Aug,
16. Vehicular traffic will be detoured to avoid construction work. Access to
Lots A and B will be maintained during paving on State University Drive.
Work on the
steam and chilled water pipe installation may at times disrupt traffic to Lot
5 and 6, south of the University Union. Access to both lots will remain open.

Leave Donation Program
Sacramento
State employees may voluntarily donate to other employees up to a maximum of
16 hours of sick or vacation leave credits each fiscal year in one-hour increments.
CSUEU, MPP, Unit 4, Unit 6 and Confidential employees may donate up to a maximum
of 40 hours per fiscal year.
If employees are interested in donating time, a donation form can be obtained
