Campus Announcements Survey of graduates available
The Office of Institutional Research conducted a survey of graduating students in the spring and received more than 2,100 responses. The survey asked graduating students to assess their college experiences and progress, rate their satisfaction with the aspects and services of the University and to relate their opinions regarding university policies.To view survey results, visit www.oir.csus.edu/Reports/Default.cfm and click on “Graduating Student Survey.” Send comments about the survey to email@example.com. UEI explains new Project /Activity Grant guidelines
University Enterprises Inc., which awards $90,000 annually for student, staff and faculty projects through the Project/Activity Grant program, will hold a series of briefings to explain new guidelines and application criteria for the program. People interested in applying for a PAG are encouraged to attend one of the sessions. Sessions are 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, in the Walnut Room; 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Orchard Suite; and 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, in the Walnut Room. Rooms are located in the University Union.
The Sept. 7 session emphasizes faculty participation, and the Sept. 18 session will focus on student participation. The deadline to apply for the PAG is Monday, Oct. 1.
The University Center Restaurant offers a back-to-school buffet 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, and Wednesday, Sept. 19. The menu includes braised beef tips, grilled chicken breasts with sun-dried tomatoes, seafood pasta, eggplant parmesan, sautéed vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes and assorted gourmet salads. It also includes an assortment of cookies, cakes and sundaes from the dessert bar. Cost is $11.95. The University Center Restaurant is located at the west entrance to the University Union across from Round Table Pizza. Reservations are suggested for groups of five or more. Writing center open house
The University Writing Center’s open house for faculty and administrators is noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12 in Calaveras Hall, Room 128. The center provides assistance with writing assignments for Sacramento State students. Most orders can be placed the day of the event but large orders and party-sized footer sandwiches require 24-hour advance notice. Catastrophic leave donation program Sacramento State employees may voluntarily donate to other employees up to a maximum of 16 hours of sick or vacation leave credits each fiscal year in one-hour increments. CSUEU, MPP, Unit 4, Unit 6 and Confidential employees may donate up to a maximum of 40 hours per fiscal year.
If employees are interested in donating time, a donation form can be obtained by going to www.csus.edu/hr/forms.stm#Disability, or by visiting the Human Resources, Disability Leaves Office in Sacramento Hall 162, or by calling extension 83522.
