U-Nite showcases Sacramento State arts at the Crocker
The vision of Professor Elaine Gale to bring together two of Sacramento's premier art institutions, Sacramento State and the Crocker Art Museum, came to glorious fruition April 12 at the Crocker. This first U-Nite event was greeted by a strong turnout of about 1,700 community members and featured live music, dance and theater performances; photography, design, art, film and digital media presentations; and poetry and prose readings most of it the work of Sac State faculty and students.

The program, which places students in full-time staff positions in the State Legislature, executive branch and court system, was evaluated and honored by, a career management research and information website.

Awards recognize the University's outstanding alumni

A crescendo moment for April – Sacramento State's Alumni Month – the Distinguished Alumni Awards are given annually by the University and the Alumni Association. This year's seven honorees were presented with their awards during a dinner April 26 at the Alumni Center.
