Housing and Residential Life
The Housing and Residential Life program is divided into the following areas:
Residential Life, Facilities Operations, Conference Services, and Administrative Operations. Dining Commons staff is employed by a campus partner, University Enterprises, Inc.
The administrative offices for Housing and Residential Life are located in Sierra Hall

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AND RESIDENTIAL LIFE
The Executive Director of Housing and Residential Life is the chief administrator responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and leadership of on-campus housing programs.
DIRECTOR OF HOUSING
The Director of Housing oversees the day-to-day operation of the Housing Office, Conference, Marketing, and Technology for Housing and Residential Life.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
The Senior Associate Director of Residential Life is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the residence halls including the selection, supervision and development of all Residence Life Staff including (Residence Life Coordinators, Assistant Director of Programming, Training and Academic Success, Coordinator of Residence Hall Conduct, Graduate Student Assistants, Resident Advisors and Desk Attendants).
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING, TRAINING & ACADEMIC SUCCESS
The Assistant Director of Programming, Training & Academic Success responsibilities include oversight of programming in the halls, theme floors, advising the Residence Hall Association (RHA), Community Engagement Organizers and student staff training.
COORDINATOR FOR RESIDENCE HALL CONDUCT
The Coordinator for Residence Hall Conduct oversees the student conduct process including policy development, appeals and educational sanctions for the residence hall community.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
The Assistant Director of Facilities is the chief administrator responsible for the overall physical condition of the residence hall complex and grounds. The Assistant Director coordinates the preventative maintenance program, construction projects, work orders, and renovations. The Assistant Director also directs the day-to-day operations of the maintenance, custodial and grounds personnel.
The Custodial Supervisor oversees the custodians and is responsible for cleanliness of residence halls. The Custodial Supervisor coordinates the Housing pest control and waste management services.
RESIDENCE LIFE COORDINATOR
Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) are full-time, post masters or post bachelor’s degree live-in professional staff members who supervise the operation of their residence hall.
GRADUATE STUDENT ASSISTANT - PROGRAMMING
The Graduate Student Assistant assists the Assistant Director of Programming, Training & Academic Success with theme programming, and advising the Residence Hall Association (RHA).
GRADUATE STUDENT ASSISTANT - AMERICAN RIVER COURTYARD
The Graduate Student Assistant assists the American River Courtyard Residence Life Coordinator with the overall management of AMC.
Resident Advisors (RAs) are peer student staff members who live on and are assigned to particular floors of the residence halls. There are generally six to ten RAs per building. RAs are the primary resource for residents and work in conjunction with Residence Life Coordinators to create a community environment.
