Interested in spending the night in campus housing?
For Parents and Transfer Students
Upper Eastside Lofts is Sac State’s ONLY campus-affiliated off-campus housing complex, located just minutes from campus. Parents and students attending New Student Orientation can make overnight accomodations at the Upper Eastside Lofts. Each loft offers a private bathroom, full kitchen, 42” flat screen TV, Twin XL bed, couch, and access to a resort-style pool.
Overnight accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For nightly rates and to make a reservation during Orientation, please click here, or call (916) 739-0900. If you spend the night in the Upper Eastside Lofts, you must bring your own bed linens, pillow, bath towels and toiletries.
For First Year Students
First Year students needing a place to stay during Orientation should consider F.R.O.S.H. Night. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and get extra advising help. For details click here.
Airport Transportation
If you are flying into Sacramento International Airport, you can catch the Super Shuttle to campus. No appointment is necessary when leaving from the airport to Sac State, but you must make a reservation for pick-up.
Rental Car Agencies
Public Transportation
Consider taking Sacramento Regional Transit to campus. There are a number of bus routes that drop you off on the north side of campus. In addition, light rail can drop you nearby at the 65th street station. From there you can take a short walk to campus or take a connecting bus.
Parking at Sac State
Parking permits are required during Orientation and are included in Orientation fees. You can access your parking permit by clicking the New Student Orientation button in the Student Center of My Sac State (similar to when you made your initial reservation). When you click on New Student Orientation, your confirmation will appear. By clicking on a button in the lower right corner of the screen you can print your parking permit.
Some of the parking structures will be closed this summer. We recommend you park in Parking Structure 2. A campus map can be found on the orientation website by clicking here.
