Timothy A. Hodson
Executive Director

A graduate of CSU, Fullerton, Dr. Hodson received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has served as an assistant professor at Claremont McKenna College and visiting professor with CSU, Sacramento and the University of Southern California. From 1978 to 1993, Dr. Hodson worked for the state Senate. He served as the consultant with the Select Committees on Political Reform and Government Regulation, as a principal consultant with the Senate Office of Research, and as the staff director of the Senate Elections and Reapportionment Committee. Dr. Hodson was named the executive director of the Center in August 1993.

Dr. Hodson has been frequently quoted as an expert on California politics in newspapers from the Los Angeles Times to the New York Times to the London Times.  He is also the author of various articles on California government and politics.  Dr. Hodson is a full professor with the Departments of Government and Public Policy and Administration at Sacramento State.
