Ready to meet Canvas?

Sac State will begin using Canvas in Fall 2017 and complete the transition from Blackboard (SacCT) in Spring 2019 when all courses will be in Canvas. This transition period gives faculty and students plenty of time to learn the new system and we think you'll love it.

During the transition period, you may have courses in both systems. My Sac State will show you whether your courses have an online component and which system to access for each course. (You can also login directly at http://canvas.csus.edu/ or get the Canvas app for iOS and Android.)

Follow the three key steps below to prepare yourself for the move to Canvas.

All courses will move from SacCT/Blackboard to Canvas by Spring 2019.

Canvas will gradually replace SacCT as Sac State's new Learning Management System (LMS).

Prepare to Leave Blackboard

The last Blackboard courses will conclude in Fall of 2018 and Blackboard will remain available in a "view only" state until March of 2019.

Please prepare yourself by downloading any Blackboard course content (e.g., syllabi, submitted work, etc.) that you may want to save for the future.
