Career Connection General Tips:
• You can change your password by clicking on the account tab and then
clicking on the password/preferences tab.
• While you are registering on the registration page, please remember
to check each type of service you are interested in using (jobs, resume
book, profile, etc).
• Don’t forget to use our Resume Book. It contains all of the student
resumes on the system and is searchable by major.
• If you do end up hiring a student or alumni from Career Connection,
please fill out a placement for them. You can do this by clicking on
the placements tab at the top of your screen
Career Connection Job Posting Tips:
• When posting a job that you do not want to expire, please choose
yes on the “do not expire job” section. Once you have selected yes,
the expiration date you choose will be irrelevant as the job will not
expire until you manually take it off.
• You can modify any of your existing jobs at any time by clicking on
the jobs tab at the top of the screen, clicking on the particular job
you wish to edit, making the necessary changes, and then clicking on
the submit button.
• You may copy an existing job already on Career Connection by choosing
the “copy existing” dropdown menu, and then choosing the existing job
you would like to duplicate (This can also be used to speed up the job
posting process on similar jobs. You can choose copy existing to copy
most of the information, and then change the more pertinent information
manually).
• Be sure to choose the correct “How to Apply” option. Currently the
most popular options are through Career Connection, on the employer
website, by email, by phone, and by fax.
• If you choose to have students and alumni apply through Career Connection,
please choose a method of resume receipt. Currently the options are
receiving resumes in your email inbox, accumulating them online in your
Career Connection account, or if you choose to manage resumes outside
of Career Connection, you can select “other”.
