Recruitment Programs

 

The program's mission is to assist students and alumni in interviewing with bona fide organizations from industry, government, and non-profits, offering professional career opportunities requiring a Bachelor's or Master's Degree. Equally, assisting in selecting the most qualified candidates to fill vacant career related positions.

Career Fairs & Events

Career Center events attract over 100 employers from local, national and international companies, government agencies and nonprofit groups.

Company Presentations

Employers are invited to speak on a variety of career topics including industry information and an overview of career tracks for their company or industry. This meeting allows for a brief presentation to all interested students, following by a question and answer session. Suggested topics are: Company History, Training Programs, Position Descriptions and Corporate Culture ect. This meeting draws students with a variety of employment interests i.e. full-time employment, internship, co-op education, and even part-time opportunities. Employers are requested to contact the Recruitment Manager for more information.

Resume: Extreme Makeover

Employers are invited to campus each semester to sit with students to critique their resumes. Suggestions are offered to improve the context and readability of resumes.

Mock Interview Program

Each semester the Career Center provinces students with an opportunity to participate in a practice interview with a corporate recruiter. This "mock" interview is video-taped and then reviewed by the recruiter, providing valuable feedback to the student, helping them to develop interview skills and confidence in the interview process.
