SACRAMENTO STATE INFORMATION

RECRUITMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR EMPLOYERS

Please read the policies and procedures below. To arrange a recruitment date please contact Eva Gabbe at 916-278-7205 for screening. If approved, you will be emailed or faxed On Campus Recruitment information.

RECRUITMENT WINDOWS

Fall semester - October 13 - December 12, 2008 (No recruitment: Oct 29, Nov 11, 27, 28)


COST

There is no cost to participate in the On-campus Recruitment program.

EMPLOYER ELIGIBILITY

Career Center services are available to bonafide organizations offering professional career opportunities requiring a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Organizations requiring a monetary investment from candidates are excluded from participation in the On-campus Recruitment Program. Third party recruiters and staffing companies are equally excluded from participating in this program.

OPEN SCHEDULE

Open to graduating seniors and alumni that graduated within six months from Sacramento State who meet the company's recruitment requirements and, secondly, to CSU sister college alumni. The standard interview schedule consists of twelve 30-minute interviews, two 15-minute breaks, and one hour for lunch. Interviews begin at 8:45 a.m. and end at 4:15 p.m. Please note on the Recruitment Information form if you have a change in schedule outline (45 or 60min). The Career Center hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

SIGN-UP PROCEDURES

Schedules are OPEN to all Sacramento State Spring 2007 graduating students and Fall/Summer 2006 alumni who meet your minimum requirements. All other CSU alumni are welcome to sign up for available interviews three days before the interview on campus.

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULE

Please complete a separate RECRUITMENT SCHEDULE for each recruitment date for which you are recruiting.

COMPANY CANCELLATION - NO SHOW POLICY

Companies that cancel within 24 hours of their recruitment date are required to contact the students on their interview schedule and reschedule appointments at their office. Companies that are a no-show for their on-campus recruitment day also are required to reschedule appointments and will be placed on a "holding pattern" for the following semester. Companies that are a last minute cancellation will only be allowed to interview on campus on a "space available basis only" for the following semester. SUGGESTED TIME

The standard time for the company information meeting is 8:00 a.m. - 8:40 a.m. the morning of the recruitment day. However, company information meetings may also be scheduled at other times (i.e. the night before, two weeks before, etc.). Please call the Program Manager or Program Assistant for suggestions.


CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

All schedules are open to U. S. Citizens, Permanent Residents and Student Visa candidates unless you state your company's/agency's legal exemption.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS/APPLICATION FORMS

Please mail appropriate job descriptions to the Career Center. If there are any application forms the students are required to complete and bring to the interview, please mail them along with this Recruitment Information Form. This will allow students to complete the applications prior to their interviews.

TESTING

Aptitude and psychological testing is prohibited at the Career Center, On-campus Recruitment Programs. If your organization conducts pre-employment drug testing, you are required to inform the Career Center in writing of your policy at the time you confirm your interview schedule. You are also required to include a policy statement in your recruiting publications and inform students of this policy in your on-campus interview.

RECORDINGS AND AUDIO

Employers are not to record or take pictures of candidates. Government agencies are the only exception to recorded interviews.

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS

Permits and campus maps will be available the day of your recruitment visit at the Visitor Information Booth off of J Street entrance. Permits are filed under company names.

ADVERTISING

You may place an ad in the University newspaper, "The State Hornet" by calling 916-278-6583.

To get names of student clubs and organizations, and their officers, call Student Activities at 916-278-6595.
