Well-known organizations come to Sacramento State each semester to interview Sacramento State students and alumni for internships and full time, entry level, professional positions. The program's mission is to assist students in securing interviews and professional opportunities while also assisting employers in selecting the most qualified candidates to fill vacant career-related positions.
Spring 2016 On-Campus Recruitment dates:
March 7 - May 6, 2016

These interviews take place in the Sacramento State Career Center, located in Lassen Hall 1013. In order to participate in our On-Campus Recruitment program, please carefully follow the instructions below:
Become Eligible for On-Campus Recruitment
Attend one On-Campus Recruitment Workshop to be eligible:
Location: Career Center, Lassen Hall 1013
Time: Noon - 1pm
Step 1: Register for Hornet Career Connection
- Go to Hornet Career Connection new user registration page
- Enter username (this will be your SacLink ID)
- Enter temporary registration password (sacramento)
- Create student account (update password ASAP)
Step 2: View the On-Campus Recruitment presentation.
Step 3: Contact Kate Lockwood to confirm that you have viewed the workshop.
On-Campus Recruitment Tips
Utilize drop-in appointments at the Career Center to have your resume reviewed, to prepare a cover letter, or to seek advice regarding your interview
- Drop-in hours: Monday – Friday from 9 am - 5 pm in Lassen Hall 1013
Schedule an hour appointment with a Career Counselor for a mock interview
- Contact the Career Center at 916.278.6231 to schedule an hour-long appointment
Do additional research on the organization you are interviewing with. Dress professionally on the day of your interview; bring extra copies of your resume and any additional documents requested by the recruiter. After the interview, send thank you letters to each of the recruiters that interviewed you.
