College Majors 101 is an education resource dedicated to one purpose and one purpose only, to teach students about different college majors in depth so that they can make more informed college and career choices.

EUREKA, Career Information System

EUREKA is an online career information system that provides information on college majors and
universities, including community college and vocational programs. The system also has information on occupations and career fields, as well as career assessments you can take to explore information about yourself. In order to login to EUREKA:
1. Go to, Click Sign Up
2. Under Students/Clients enter Site ID Code = SDJOP5F, click Next
3. Complete the personal information form
4. Double click on your counselor/teacher's name, if listed. Click Next
5. Choose a Log in name and Password

Sacramento State Majors

View a list of Sacramento State undergraduate majors with links to each academic major's home page. Academic advisors in each department are available to answer any questions you might have and provide you more information about the major.

Assist Exploring Majors

Assist helps you explore majors offered at UC and CSU campuses. It provides several paths you can take to learn about specific majors, requirements for majors, major preparation at community colleges, and transferring courses to the University of California or California State University.

Sacramento State Clubs/Organizations

Sacramento State student clubs and organizations provide a great way for students with similar interests to meet. Academic clubs often invite professionals from the world of work to club meetings or events. Clubs and organizations also are a great way for students to build their support network.

Sacramento State Career Center

The Career Center provides walk-in career counseling services and follow-up career counseling sessions. Assistance with choosing a major, changing your major, relating your major to the world of work, and developing an education or career plan.

Sacramento State Academic Advising Center

The Academic Advising Center offers new student orientation, mandatory freshman advising, and advising on General Education and graduation requirements for all students. The Center engages students in a developmental process that helps clarify and implement individual educational plans consistent with their skills, interests, and values.
