Major GPA : All course work required in your academic major : Unfortunately, Sac State does not currently have an "easy" way of calculating your major GPA. You will to calculate it yourself. See below for instructions.
To calculate your Major GPA
- For each course completed in your major, multiply the number of course units by the number of grade points earned. (See below)
- Divide the total of #1 above by the total number of units attempted (excluding CR/NC courses) to get your GPA.

When computing your GPA, it is acceptable to round your GPA up to the nearest tenth if the last digit is 5 or greater. Example: 3.28 would be rounded up to 3.30.
