Career Counseling Services

Locations & Hours

Drop-in career counseling services are available to help you explore your interests, values, skill preferences, things that bring you joy, natural talents, and family and cultural influences. We teach you how to relate what you find out about yourself to the world of work, including how to go about deciding about a major and/or career field.

Career Decision-making Tool

The Career Decision-Making Tool (CDMT) helps you to select a suitable career direction; identify the kinds of occupations that will assist you in following your chosen career direction; and identify the kinds of learning you will need to qualify for and perform selected occupations. It's best to use the online tool with the help of your teacher or guidance counselor.

Decision-making Process

Students make decisions everyday. Choosing a major and/or a career field essentially involves the decision-making process. The effectiveness of choosing a major and career field relies on information available to you at the point you are making your decision. Information is vitally important in the decision-making process. The effectiveness of any decision you make relies on accurate and up-to-date information. Information about yourself, college majors, and the world of work will be helpful to you as you go through the process of choosing a major and/or career field.
