College of Education Listserv: Sign-up Today!

The EDUCOOP-L listserv is an e-mail distribution list designed to provide recipients with up to date information on Career Center programs and services, including internships, part-time/full-time opportunities, and volunteer positions in the field.

Career Counseling

The Academic Advising and Career Center offers career counseling services for College of Education students in the Academic Advising and Career Center, Lassen Hall 1013 on a drop-in basis. Follow-up appointments are also available. Spring 2013 drop-in hours are offered Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Services include:

  • Finding internships, volunteer experiences or part-time jobs
  • Developing resumes and cover letters
  • Practicing interviewing skills and techniques
  • Exploring career options by major and/or concentration
  • Choosing/changing a major and/or career path
  • Learning job search strategies
  • Using Career Connection (online job listings)

Job Search Workshop for Educators

Join the Career Center for an interactive workshop as we discuss resources, strategies and tips in the job search specific for educators.

Educator Exchange
February 15, 2013, 12 - 3 p.m.
University Union Redwood Room

Join us for an interactive panel discussion and networking session with local leaders in the education field as they discuss strategies and tips to give aspiring educators a competitive edge in their job search and careers. Panelists will provide invaluable information that you will not read in a textbook or hear in a classroom. If you are interested in working in the education field, you need to attend this event!

Our annual educator job fair connects aspiring educators with school districts, educational services and agencies offering full-time, part-time, internship and volunteer opportunities. Want to see who is coming? Click here!

Dress for success and bring your resume! Participating organizations will be conducting on-site interviews; be prepared to interview on the spot.
