International Students

CSUS uses separate requirements and applications in the admission of international students. CSU, Sacramento requires completion of a supplemental international student application and all international students must also complete the CBA-GPO on-line application. For this purpose, "international students" include those who hold U.S. visas as students, exchange visitors, or other non-immigrant classifications.

Verification of English proficiency (see the TOEFL Requirement section), financial resources, and academic performance are all important considerations. Academic records from foreign institutions must be on file at least eight weeks before registration for the first term and, if not written in English, must be accompanied by certified English translations. The University requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based).

All materials, inclusive of TOEFL scores, must be turned in to the International Admissions Office (address below). To ensure consideration, international students should submit their material to the International Admissions Office one month prior to the CBA application deadlines (for Fall Semester, April 1; for Spring Semester, October 1).
