Christal Love joined the Center in May 2008, bringing with her 4 years of professional experience in large-scale surface water and groundwater resource management planning. Christal assists the Center’s senior/lead mediators and serves as the project coordinator for a variety of projects including the Santa Rosa Plain Groundwater Management Steering Committee, the Central Valley Flood Management Program, and the California Animal Response Emergency System. She also serves as the lead facilitator for the Fresno Utility Advisory Committee.
Christal’s interest in collaborative policy began at the Center for Environmental Conflict Analysis where she worked for two years while completing her B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning at U.C. Davis. Public participation and environmental decision making were the central themes of her MPA graduate research project at San Francisco State University, which she completed in May 2007.
