Jeffrey H. Goldfien, J.D., LL.M.

Jeff Goldfien joined the Center in 2006 as a mediator and facilitator. Jeff is currently working on water and water quality issues in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jeff has advised local governments and private sector clients in California for two decades, and has substantive expertise in administrative law, local, regional, and state governance, constitutional law, land use, property rights and takings, religion and the law, coastal regulation, natural resources and the environment, and environmental review.

Jeff serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he teaches courses in negotiation and complex stakeholder processes. Jeff received his Masters of Law (LL.M.) in dispute resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia, in 2005, and has published articles in the leading journals in the field of dispute resolution. In addition to his teaching at Hastings, Jeff has trained lawyers, law and business students, and other professionals in negotiation and mediation skills, in courses at Stanford, Boalt Hall, U.C. Davis, Mills College, Missouri-Columbia, and in private mediation courses and continuing education seminars. He serves on the Board of the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California.
