Jodie Monaghan, Associate Mediator

Jodie Monaghan is an Associate Mediator working on various projects including the Suisun Marsh Implementation Plan – a habitat management, preservation and restoration project for Suisun Marsh, the proposed Lake Davis pike eradication project, the Yolo County Habitat Conservation Plan / Natural Communities Conservation Plan (HCP/NCCP), the Delta Risk Management Strategy, and the Sacramento River Corridor Planning Forum. Previously, she worked on the State Water Resources Control Board Public Involvement Needs Assessment, the Lower Yolo Bypass Feasibility Assessment, the Mokelumne River Forum Planning Process, and the Mercury Offset Program sponsored by the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District.

Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Monaghan served as the project manager for computer installations in two mid-sized office supply companies. She was also a member of a team tasked with the installation of a new computer system throughout the 51 western branches of Zellerbach Paper Company. In addition to her regular duties as Operations Manager of Zellerbach’s Honolulu branch, Ms. Monaghan oversaw two major transformations for her organization, managing both the Inside Sales project - a major organizational change transitioning employees to a team structure - and the Total Quality Management (TQM) project. Ms. Monaghan also owned and operated her own company in Hawaii for 10 years.

Ms. Monaghan has completed several courses in mediation and facilitation. She holds a B.A. degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento, where she’s currently enrolled in the Masters program in Public Policy and Administration. She also holds a paralegal certificate from the University of Hawaii – Kapiolani Campus.
