Sue Woods

Sue Woods has experience over a 25-year period in dispute resolution, mediation, facilitation, strategic planning and training. Her public policy and dispute resolution experience has included work with a variety of public, non-profit and educational institutions in the issue areas of transportation, land use and air quality, environmental health and safety, energy, water resources, consumer affairs, credit and banking, citizen/government disputes, health and housing. She is currently serving as a mediator/consultant to the Sacramento Transportation and Air Quality Collaborative. This multi-year interest-based negotiation involves 104 stakeholders representing business, environmental, community and citizen and local government interests. The Collaborative will develop a long-range and comprehensive strategy for the Sacramento countywide area to improve transportation and air quality within a regional context, including relevant land use and economic development strategies.

Ms. Woods has provided mediation, coaching and training services to Community Mediation Service of Yolo County and the San Diego Community College District as well as providing mediation services to the Yolo County Court system and the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in social welfare from San Diego State University, Ms. Woods went on to complete postgraduate education in mediation, negotiation and facilitation from the University of California, Davis and the Institute for the Study of Alternative Dispute Resolution at Humboldt State University.
