Sherwins Working Group
The Sherwins Working Group is an independent, community-based body of stakeholders that is meeting to develop a preferred alternative for safe and environmentally responsible public access for the Sherwin Area located south of the Town of Mammoth Lakes. The group is comprised of approximately 25 to 30 community members who have been meeting at least monthly since April 2009 to tackle this complex project; they represent a broad spectrum of recreation, business, and agency interests in the Sherwins area. The process is being facilitated by CCP Senior Mediator Austin McInerny and is being supported by the Inyo National Forest, Town of Mammoth Lakes, and the Mammoth Lakes Trails and Public Access Foundation.
