Grace Person joined the Center in 2011 and brings several years of experience in state and local government, public policy research, community engagement, and nonprofit administration. At the Center, she is an Associate Mediator and the Business Development Coordinator. Her career began in public policy facilitation after completing a Master of Environmental Law and Policy at Vermont Law School in 2010. Her focus while studying at Vermont Law School was on alternative dispute resolution, environmental negotiation, and federal natural resource and environmental law and policy.
At the Center, Ms. Person’s projects include working with local, state, and federal agencies to conduct issue assessments and dialogues to develop strategic plans; developing management plans; and coordinating emergency response planning efforts throughout the state. Her recent clients include the Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates, the California Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, the California Department of Health Care Services, the California Department of Water Resources, and the U.S. Forest Service. As the Business Development Coordinator, her work includes identifying potential projects to pursue, coordinating proposal development efforts, and tracking and supporting proposals after submission. Her efforts enabled the Center to achieve several high-profile project wins throughout California and helped to ensure the Center’s future viability.
