Or just want to share your Sac State pride? Then check out Alternative Break, offering short-term, community-based service projects.
Through Alternative Breaks Sac State students provide much needed service to diverse communities, while building skills and great friendships. It’s also a great way to break out and see new places, people, and perspectives.
Alternative Break is a short term commitment. You can choose to work just one day or a whole week, depending on the your availablity. Alternative Break is a great opportunity to network with local community based organizations; develop personal and professional skills; connect with your campus and local community; and it looks good on your resume.

Join Alternative Break and get involved in projects like those at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services - volunteering with the food and clothing program or Sacramento Tree Foundation planting trees and adding to Sacramento's green canopy.
