Alternative Break Logo

Sac State students - get involved by participating in an Alternative Break. Team up with other Sacramento State students to work on local projects throughout the week with local Sacramento region community organizationsnone.

Join us for an Alternative Break this spring, March 19 - 23, 2012.

Spring 2012 Service Partners (subject to change):

  • Habitat for Humanity home building projects.
  • Grace Foundation located in El Dorado hills, this non-profit provides critical care and rehabilitation for abused and neglected animals including horses, dogs, cats, goats, pigs, chickens and cows.
  • Meals on Wheels by ACC-Central Kitchen help prepare and package meals for local seniors.
  • Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services organize, bag, and distribute donated materials such as food and clothing to those in need.

 

If you are interested in participating in Alternative Break complete the following:

  • Join the Mailing List: Provide your first and last name and email, select the mailing list button and submit.
  • Sign up to Volunteer: complete all fields below, check the box next to the event(s) you'd like to attend and submit. Participation confirmation will be sent by email subject to space availability. Participation is restricted to current Sac State Students or alumni who graduated in the most recent fall term.

Daily events subject to change. Alternative Break check-in takes place on campus at the start of each shift. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to service sites. Location and event details confirmed a week prior to each event.
