My Sac State


Welcome to the Sacramento State CMS online Introduction to My Sac State. This tutorial is approximately 3 minutes long. Please click the Continue button to begin.



In this tutorial you will receive a demonstration of how to use My Sac State. 

Please note that narration and sound are included. You can pause, rewind or forward this tutorial at any time using the control bar at the bottom of your screen.



My Sac State will provide the campus with one central access point for all services handled by CMS. In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

Locate and log in to My Sac State;
Access services available through My Sac State;
Obtain assistance and support information.



As of May 22nd, My Sac State can be accessed through the CMS web page at www.csus.edu/cms.



My Sac State can also be accessed by typing the URL "my.csus.edu" in your web browser.


 
Open a web browser and enter my.csus.edu in the address bar.

After typing in the address or clicking the link on the CMS page, you'll be taken to this My Sac State login page.



Here you'll find general news and announcements for the campus.







Log in to My Sac State with your SacLink ID and password. 
 


If you need more information on SacLink accounts, please click on SacLink in the "Welcome" section or contact the University Help Desk at 278-7337.







After entering your SacLink ID and password, click the Sign In button.



Now that you've logged in to My Sac State, you will see information specific to your role at the University.



The features available in My Sac State are considered "self-service" because My Sac State provides you with direct access to view and modify certain information related to your records. 



All employees will see links to their Human Resources information along the left side of the screen. 



Under the Personal Information section, you can view your phone number, emergency contact information and home address. 

My Sac State also allows you to submit changes to this information.


Additionally, you can view your Benefits information….

…and your Payroll information. 






Click any of these self-service links to access your information. 


 
Once you've finished viewing a page, click the "home" link to return to the main page.



In the future My Sac State will expand to include further self-service features like course registration for students, course grading for faculty and more.



Now we'll cover how to access the HR and Finance systems through My Sac State.

Note: If you do not currently use HR or Finance in CMS, click the button below to skip this portion of the tutorial.


 
HR and Finance can be accessed by clicking on the HR Access and FIS Access links, respectively.

After clicking the link for HR or Finance, the application will launch in a new window and you will already be logged in.

At this point, you will have two windows open. If you are finished using either window, click the X in the corner to close it while keeping the other window open. 


 
Warning:  If you use the "sign out" feature on either window, you will lose your connection in both windows.
