Single Subject: Mandatory Orientation

The orientation will be a mix of instruction and community building. The following experiences will encompass the orientation.

Schedule

Thursday, August 28

  • 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (Welcome and Single Subject Program Overview)
  • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: LUNCH (Bring your Own/Campus Eateries)
  • 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (Bafá Bafá Cross-Culture Simulation)
  • 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Bafá Bafá Cross-Culture Reflection)

Friday, August 29

  • 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (Long Introductions)
  • 12:00 - 12:45 pm LUNCH (Bring your Own/Campus Eateries)
  • 1:00 - 4:00 pm (Activity: "Community Building: Peak Adventures Challenge Center. Please make arrangements to pay a participation fee ($20) prior to the first day of orientation. Please call (916) 278-6321 or (916) 278-2104 for options on how to make a payment. Please submit ASI Peak Adventures Challenge Center Contract, Identification, Release and Waiver (pdf) to Peak Adventures as soon as possible but prior to the first day of orientation.)
