My first job was a high school Math and Physics teacher with National Teaching Credential (China) in the 1980s. I did not like it, took the GRE, and went back to doctoral program in physics. After 3 years, I changed to library and information science graduate program and received an MLS due to bleak job market for physicists in the U.S. in 1980s.
In 1990, I took GMAT and went back to graduate school while working full-time and aimed at Doctoral Degree in Finance and Economics. Half way through my family support went away when my wife was expecting our second child. I received an MBA with emphasize in International Finance as my consolation prize.
Now it is my 3rd and probably my last attempt to pursue a doctoral degree. I took GRE again in 2008, more than 20 years after I first took it for graduate school. I forgot most of advanced math, statistics, and calculus I learned in college, but I still made the cut to be here. I will put forth my best effort to complete the doctoral program this time.
