How To Apply: Teaching Credentials

The SPRING 2017 application period begins August 1 and ends September 1 for prospective applicants who wish to complete pre-requisite credential courses during the spring semester at Sacramento State. Please review the MANDATORY ADVISING information below.

FALL 2017 supplemental program applications will be available in October 2016.

Application Procedures

To apply to a Teaching Credentials Program:

  1. Review the Admission Requirements.

  2. Attend a program information session or watch the following videos below.

  3. Complete the appropriate supplemental program application and supporting documents (see below).

SPRING 2017 - Mandatory Advising

In order to determine if applying to the SPRING 2017 semester to complete credential pre-requisite courses is your best option, a mandatory meeting with a program advisor (on the phone or in-person) will be required in July or early August. As application periods open, this page will be updated. Not all programs are open for each admission period. Open and closed application periods are noted with the following indicators:

Red dot meaning closed for applications = Currently closed for applications

Green dot meaning open for applications = Currently open for applications
