Areas Research/Scholarly Activity


My research interests align with my perception of what factors contribute to the success of first generation college students. This includes: mentoring, parent involvement and the power of true stories of overcoming tremendous odds to achieve success. As a first generation college student, female and a woman of color, I am also interested in leadership. More specifically, how one obtains opportunities to access and grow in leadership roles.
