Graduates are encouraged to remember that this is a time when the graduating class and the University are being observed by our most important public: your family and friends. Sacramento State students and alumni have a tradition of high standards. This final official ceremony should reflect that tradition with dignity.

• Allow ample time to get to campus, park and assemble. Ceremonies will start promptly at the designated time.
• Parking is free.
• Graduates for all ceremonies should meet at the the practice track to lineup.
• There are no provisions at the assembly area for coats, purses, or other valuable personal belongings to be left.
• Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
• For safety reasons balloons, Silly String, fireworks and beach balls are prohibited.
• All graduates are required to remain seated until all names have been called and the recessional of the platform party has ended. Graduates will exit together from the front toward the back by rows up the middle aisle.
• Ceremonies will last approximately 1½ to 2 hours.
