| Duties: |
- Perform a variety of activities in support of special instructional programs including special education,
interagency and district-wide. Assists teachers and staff in development and implementation of programs,
materials and tests to enhance the student learning experience.
- must be able to
(1) work with special needs populations in an environment such as severely disabled ,
acute behaviour problems,
(2) Provide continuing support to multiple grades, classes and locations,
with expertise in at least one secondary subject area, or
(3) possession of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
or equivaent child developement curriculum.This is the second in a four-level career ladder for instructional support.

| Qualifications |
The position requires an Associate Degree in a child developement curriculum plus equivalent of one year, or a High School Diploma and 4 years of experience working with special needs students in a structural classroom or equivalent setting.
Proficiency test requirement.
