Mission Statement
The Sacramento State University Office of General Counsel is committed to act with integrity, knowledge of the law, and reason, in support of the dynamic educational environment of the University. It is our function to provide, manage, and coordinate all legal services for Sacramento State University, as an institution, to minimize legal risks and costs, and always to do so efficiently, reliably and professionally.
University Counsel
Edmundo Aguilar serves as a campus-based counsel and functions as a member of the University Counsel unit in the Office of General Counsel, California State University Chancellor's Office. He has the primary responsibility for legal issues which arise at Sacramento State University. He handles personnel and other administrative hearings and manages all CSUS' litigation.
