The Peer Program Minigrant Program is a competitive grant programs funded by the Developing Hispanic Serving Institution (DHSI) Project INSPIRE. The goal of the DHSI Project INSPIRE is to increase the number and proportion of Hispanic and high-need students who are successful in college and attain timely degree completion. This minigrant program will support existing, and emerging peer programs in their effort to attain this goal.
Peer Program Grant Program Objectives:
- Build sustainable support for peer programs that not only demonstrate individual success, but establish intentional pathways of collaboration and demonstrate synergistic results with other peer and support programs.
- Fund on campus jobs for students and increase the number of students who will benefit from peer tutoring, mentoring, advising, and coaching programs.
Eligibility and Scope of Funding:
- All Sacramento State programs that provide student-to-student programming for Sacramento State Students are eligible to apply.
- For the academic year 2017/2018 it is anticipated that $120,000 in Peer Program minigrant funds will be awarded, averaging $20,000 for established programs, $10,000 for programs scaling up and $5,000 for emerging programs.
