Moayer
Hometown: Sacramento
Major: Management Information Systems. Class of 2006.
Background: Summer 2004 intern at Sprint world headquarters
in Overland Park, Kansas. President of the student Management Information
Systems Association.
Proudest accomplishment: “I’ve done everything
myself. My parents came from Iran 25 years ago – it’s different
for me because I was born here. I’m independent. I haven’t
had to count on anybody.”
Highlight: “When I’ve needed help or guidance
or mentoring, someone has always been available, either a professor or
someone in the department.”
Changes: “Since coming to school here, I’ve
become much more involved on campus. You meet people when you’re
involved, people you can learn from. It’s great when you see someone
who’s accomplished a lot. It gives you hope that you can do it too.”
Destination: “I want to find a job and have some
stability and a steady income. Maybe after four or five years of that,
I’ll come back for a master’s degree and then, hopefully,
I can teach. I really want to give back.”
