Events & Workshops

The Career Center hosts programs, career fairs and other events throughout the year to connect Sacramento State students and alumni with employers and career development opportunities. Mark your calendar today for these upcoming events! Events are open to all Sacramento State students and alumni.

Helpful Tips to Prepare for an Event:

  1. Research companies that are attending the event by visiting their website
  2. Prepare your resume and bring copies to the event
  3. Prepare a short background statement on your education and experience
  4. Develop questions to ask an employer at the event
  5. Dress professionally or business casual when meeting with employers

On-Campus Student Employment Fair

Looking for a part-time job, internship or Federal Work Study (FWS) position? Come talk to employers about part-time positions on and off campus at the On-Campus Student Employment Fair!

When: Thursday, August 31, 2017 / 11 am - 2 pm

FBI Collegiate Citizens Academy

Get one step ahead and get an inside look into the FBI. All presentations will be conducted by FBI personnel. Attend all presentations and
receive a certificate of completion.

Get tips from an expert at our "Ready, Set, Resume!" event! This is your chance to meet with an employer for a resume review! This event is open to all students and alumni.

Our Career Fair is even bigger this semester! You will have TWO DAYS to meet with over 100 employers hiring for full-time and part-time positions as well as internship opportunities! This event is open to ALL majors and alumni! Professional dress and resume are expected.

C2C Career Readiness Internship Academy

The College to Career (C2C) Internship Academy, a partnership between Sacramento State's Career Center and University Advancement division, provides recent college graduates with essential career-readiness training and the possibility of an internship placement upon completion. It connects students and graduates with a variety of Sacramento-area employers who are seeking the next generation of employment talent.

When: Fridays, October 13, 20, 27 & November 3, 17 (The WELL) / 10 am - 2:30 pm

On-Campus Interviews (OCI) 

On-Campus Interviews (OCI) provides current Sac State students and Sac State Alumni the opportunity to interview with regional and area employers who visit the Career Center during the Fall and Spring semesters. Full-time jobs and paid internships, primarily in business and technical fields, are offered through the program.

Sutter Volunteer Information Session

Sutter Hospital, working in collaboration with the Sac State Career Center, places over 100 Sacramento State students each spring in volunteer positions through the Sutter Hospital, Sacramento. You can volunteer at a variety of locations where you will get exposure to many of the different components of the healthcare field.

The Career Center in collaboration with the College of Arts and Letters present the Arts & Letters Professional Series.  Hear from industry experts on career preparedness strategies for students majoring in the arts and letters disciplines. Learn tips and tools on how to prepare for your career.  One unit of academic credit and/or a Certificate of Professional Development available.
