BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

BUSINESS MAJOR COURSE REQUIREMENTS
The College of Business Administration (CBA) offers a broad, professional education in business. Students working toward the BS degree may select from the following concentrations: Accountancy; Accounting Information Systems; Finance; General Management; Human Resources Management; International Business; Management Information Systems; Marketing; Operations Management; Real Estate and Land Use Affairs; Risk Management and Insurance.

The minimum total units required is 120, of which 66-75 are required for the major. At least 15 units of upper division business administration courses must be taken in residence at (or under the auspices of) California State University, Sacramento. Of these 15 units, a minimum of 9 units must be in upper division courses beyond the "upper division core".

The degree requires completion of the Computer Literacy Requirement and PreMajor courses prior to declaring Business Administration as your major. In other words, you may not advance into Major and Concentration courses until you qualify to declare business as your major.

To assure that this requirement is met, all students who apply to the Business Administration major are designated Pre-Major when the University accepts them.

When you are enrolled in the last of those courses designated as Pre-Major, and you have completed the Computer Literacy Requirements, you must submit a Change of Status Petition to the Degree Programs Center (obtain in the DPC, TAH 1030). If we determine at the time we evaluate your academic records that you are eligible to become a Business Administration major, we will approve and forward your Change of Status Petition to Admissions and Records.
