STUDENT INTERNSHIP INSTRUCTION MANUAL

 

Step 1: Students interested in an internship (Econ 195/295) shall first consult with the Department Internship Coordinator.

Step 2: Find a suitable internship, through personal contacts, help from the Department Intenship Coordinator, or through the Career Center.

Step 3: After securing an internship, complete the “Student Internship Enrollment Information” form.

Step 4 : Enroll in Econ 195/295 for the appropriate number of units. One unit of credit requires 50 hours of work.

Step 5 :  At 3-week intervals, the student must complete and submit via email to the Department Internship Coordinator the reports as described on the main internship page.

Step 6 : As the internship nears completion, the student will provide his/her work supervisor with the “Intern Evaluation Form”. This is to be completed by the work supervisor and returned to the Department Internship Coordinator.

No credit for internships can be given unless the above steps are completed.
