JOB OPENING: Policy Analyst, K-12 Education Policy.

The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) is a private, nonprofit, research organization, conducting nonpartisan policy research with an active outreach program. PPIC aims to inform and improve public policy through high-quality, independent, nonpartisan research and analysis of public policy issues affecting California.  PPIC's research agenda focuses on economic development, education, environment and resources, governance, population, public finance, and social and health policy.

 
PPIC has opened a search for a Policy Analyst - K-12 Education Policy. The position will be based in PPIC's Sacramento Center.  Applicants need to have a background in education policy and a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in education, economics, political science, sociology, a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience.   Candidates should have excellent analytical capabilities, very good writing skills, and considerable practical experience with the formulation and implementation of education policy for public elementary and secondary schools.    Excellence, fit with PPIC's mission and goals, and diversity continue to be strong PPIC values.
