Culminating Requirement (3 units)

500 Comprehensive Exam or Master's Thesis

Only those students earning a 3.7 GPA or better after 21 units of coursework may elect to write a thesis after completing an approved prospectus.

*students intending to pursue a Ph.D. in English are strongly encouraged to take a graduate course in critical theory
