Undergraduate Major in EnglishThe Department revises its major requirements periodically. OLDER MAJOR (1996-2004) OVERVIEW: The English minor requires 45 units, all of which must be taken in English. At least 27 units must be in upper division (100-level) courses. However, ENGL 1 , 1A, 1 B, 1 C, 2A, 2B, 2C, 20, 109A, 109B, 109F, 109G may not be counted toward the minor. Grades of "C-" or better are required in all courses in the major. 18 of the units for the major, including at least 15 upper division units, must be taken in residence at California State University, Sacramento. A minimum of 15 additional units must be taken, of which at least 9 must be upper division. D. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT--SENIOR SEMINAR Students are required to complete a course in their senior year, selecting from courses specially designated as Senior Seminars. This is a supervenient requirement; the designated courses will meet both the Senior Seminar requirement and another requirement. The seminar has a reduced class size and requires a term paper, student presentations and submission of the student's work. Notes: * English majors must complete one year of college level foreign
