The Simmons Scholarship for Study Abroad commemorates emeritus professor Hortense Simmons and her abiding dedication to the benefits of global education. The award is $500.00.

Eligibility Requirements:

• a minimum gpa of 3.0
• 250 word statement about how literary study abroad will affect your academic plans
• may be sophomore, junior, senior, classified Graduate student
• submit 2 letters of recommendation and copy of Global Education Application

Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, March 20, in CLV 103, and the award will be presented at the English Department Graduation Ceremony in May.
