ENVS 199
The Environmental Studies Department is offering a new seminar course in Environmental Risk Assessment. Currently the course is being offered as an ENVS 199 Special Problems. There is still time to enroll if you are interested. If you would like more information regarding this course the syllabus and course description are below.
Course description: This seminar is modeled on the EnvS/Bio 186B seminar. It will bring practicing scientists, business people, and regulators to discuss theory, scientific and political issues, and applications of risk assessment methodology to several critical environmental issues in the State of California.
This seminar is an initial effort toward a Certificate Program in Environmental Toxicology. There is support for this program at Sac State from State of California agencies dealing with these issues because they will have many opportunities for employment in the next few years due to upcoming retirements. These agencies are also interested in encouraging internships after students have completed this seminar.
Syllabus: Intro to Environmental Risk Assessment
