To honor the memory of Patrick James Dugal, the Dugal family has established scholarships for students pursuing a profession in the Environmental Studies field.
Patrick was a full-time CSUS student working toward a degree in Environmental Studies. He was a serious student who was involved in the community and had a strong commitment to environmental matters. He has been described by his professors as a bright presence, cheerful, friendly, optimistic, articulate and dedicated. Patrick lost his courageous battle against cancer in January 2005.
Qualifications
The Patrick James Dugal Memorial Scholarship has been awarded for the 08-09 academic year. If you are eligible for it next year check back in February for the next deadline.
For the Academic Year 2008-2009, one student will be selected to receive a $3,125 scholarship for tuition and books
Available to Environmental Studies Majors of Junior or Senior Status
Student must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA
Student must be enrolled full time at the time of award
Student must submit a completed application and a 600 word essay in which you describe the environmental issue you care about the most, your professional goals, and how you feel this scholarship will help you attain those goals.
