EOP Application Process: FRESHMEN and TRANSFER


In order to complete your EOP application, it is critical that you meet the deadlines below:
 

1. Sacramento State Admissions: Priority filing period October 1st - November 30th

arrow_bullet You must apply for admission to Sacramento State before applying to EOP!

arrow_bullet Complete the EOP section in the admissions application (section 11) & submit your  online Sacramento State Admissions Application at www.csumentor.edu

arrow_bullet Once you submit your Admissions application and it is determined that you are eligible, you will automatically receive access to an EOP Application.

Note: A separate application is required for EOP

2. Priority filing period October 1st – November 30th

arrow_bullet Complete and submit your online EOP Application at www.csumentor.edu.
arrow_bullet Submit recommendation Letters – by January 6, 2012

3. Create your SacLink account

arrow_bullet You will receive a Sac State ID on you Application Acknowledgment letter. You will use this ID to set up your SacLink account. To register for a SacLink accounts go to: www.csus.edu/saclink/settingUp.stm

SacLink is your point of entry to Sacramento State information resources and the gateway to the Internet. When you create a SacLink account, you are establishing a Global ID that is used to identify each student. SacLink was established to provide e-mail and Internet services to all students.

4. EOP Priority ELM/EPT: EOP Freshmen Applicants are required to take the ELM/EPT

CSU requires you to take the English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry-Level Mathematics Test (ELM) before you enroll, unless you’re exempt. EOP Summer Bridge participants are placed in academic courses based upon their English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Mathematics (ELM) exam. Therefore, it is very important that students take these tests as early as possible in their senior year of high school.

Prepare for this test!

Note: It is STRONGLY recommended that you show up at the test site to take the test as a “standby” if you miss the registration deadline.  You are not guaranteed a spot but it is worth the try!  Come prepared with your Social Security Number, Photo ID and a Check.

5. Sacramento State Application Document Deadline: January 6th, 2012

arrow_bullet Submit SAT and/or ACT test scores to Sacramento State Admissions Office, DO NOT submit to EOP office.

6. EOP “Welcome Day”

arrow_bullet Saturday, February 25th. High potential EOP applicants will be invited to attend. Don’t miss this extremely important date. A link will be sent to you giving you access to register by February 10, 2012.

7. Freshmen Applicant Expectations: Summer Bridge

arrow_bullet Once admitted at CSU, Sacramento as an EOP student, ALL entering freshmen will be in the EOP Summer Bridge program, a pre-enrollment college readiness program designed to strengthen your math, reading, and other college preparatory skills. This program is mandatory for all EOP entering freshmen at Sacramento State. There is no cost to students.
