How did the Summer Bridge Program help your transition as a freshman into college?

Summer Bridge helped me build bonds with staff and faculty members at the university especially in EOP. These bonds lead to other opportunities, such as my first on-campus job as receptionist for EOP and later on as a Teaching Assistant for the Learning Communities.

The things that I value the most about Summer Bridge are the encouraging friends that I have made and the awesome Summer Bridge staff members! Because of the program, I now understand what it takes to be a successful college student. It also helped me realize what to expect from my first semester as a college student.

What summer activity did you enjoy the most during the Summer Bridge Academy?

The activity that I enjoyed the most while attending Summer Bridge was the end of the summer picnic. It was fun meeting the other Summer Bridge students while playing various games and sports with them. They also provided free lunch and refreshments that kept our energy up. I thought it was a wonderful way to celebrate our hard work in the end.
