Frequently Asked Questions

When do I apply for EOP?
October 1st thru November 30th. You must apply for admission to Sacramento State before applying to EOP.

Can students from any community college apply to EOP at CSUS?
No. EOP at Sacramento State accepts ONLY upper-division transfers from Los Rios Community Colleges and Sierra CC.

Can I apply to EOP for the spring semester
No. EOP only accepts applicants in the fall.

Can I apply on-line to EOP?
No, not as a Transfer applicant to EOP. As a transfer student you must apply to EOP using a hard copy of the EOP application; you will not be given access to the EOP on-line application as a transfer to EOP at CSUS. You can use CSUMentor to apply to CSUS but not EOP. Download the EOP application at the following link: www.csus.edu/eop/form/EOP Application.pdf.

When do I submit my Recommendation Forms?
No later than March 1st.

Who completes the Recommendation Forms?
If current EOPS student, one must be completed by EOPS Counselor, the other by faculty member. If not current EOPS, a faculty member and/or counselor.

Do I receive a grant for participating in the EOP program?
A small $200.00 stipend is available to eligible students who enroll in our EOP Learning Communities class in the fall semester. This is a one-time grant. Limited to 50 transfers.

When do I receive notice of admission to EOP?
One to two weeks after the University sends you the official Admissions letter. You must be admitted to the University first.
