Welcome to Sacramento State!
The application period for admission to Sacramento State's Fall 2014 semester has begun. High school seniors, community college transfer students and others applying for admission as undergraduates are encouraged to apply no later than Saturday, Nov. 30. Sacramento State and many other CSU campuses will not accept applications after that. Admissions decisions for Sacramento State will be made by Saturday, March 1.
Sacramento State encourages prospective students to become a Hornet VIP and receive updates and other information regarding the University and the admissions requirements. And we invite applicants to visit Sacramento State by scheduling a campus tour. Please visit www.csus.edu/admissions to schedule your tour today.
A new tool that will provide students with additional insight into making their college decision is a degree database (http://degrees.calstate.edu/) recently launched by the CSU Chancellor's Office. This resource provides potential students with a comprehensive listing of all undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the 23 campuses.
The next step after applying is to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA; www.fafsa.ed.gov) or California Dream Act Application (https://dream.csac.ca.gov/Common/InstApplicant.aspx) beginning in January 2014. More than half of all CSU undergraduates receive enough in financial aid to cover the full cost of their tuition fees. CSU students also benefit from one of the lowest tuition rates in the nation.
