Entrepreneurship Week reaches deep to offer innovation, ideas

Global Entrepreneurship Week Looking to further expand its significant role in business and innovation, Sacramento State is hosting a robust Global Entrepreneurship Week program, bringing students, alumni, and community leaders together in an atmosphere of collaboration and creativity.

The University’s second annual event, Nov. 13-17, will feature presentations by local business stars such as Dale Carlsen, founder of Sleep Train Mattress Centers and CEO of the Ticket to Dream Foundation; and Warren Smith, president of professional soccer’s Sacramento Republic FC, as well as other entrepreneurship experts and top educators. All will offer up-close access to new, successful approaches for aspiring entrepreneurs while assessing the reasons businesses succeed or fail.

“Global Entrepreneurship Week is a signature event for Sacramento State,” President Robert S. Nelsen says. “We’ll be sharing some exciting information, and I hope to see a huge crowd. Sacramento State is transforming the region.”
