Alice Glancy Bonds Scholarship
This scholarship honors the memory of former Emeritus Faculty Alice Glancy Bonds and her dedication and service to students in the Social Work department. Students may be undergraduates or graduates majoring in Social Work. Applicants must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Financial need may be considered.

Almond and Betty Sue Curien Scholarship
Student must be majoring in Business, Engineering, Biological Science or Health Science and have a 3.0 GPA. Students must also be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student and demonstrate financial need.

California State University Sacramento Retirees Association Scholarship
This scholarship is to help children of current faculty and staff attain their bachelor's degree.  Students must have an overall 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior or senior.  Applicants must be children of current faculty or staff at CSUS and have completed a minimum of (15) units at CSUS.

Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Endowment for Art Education Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students pursuing a degree in the visual or performing arts or a teaching credential in the various art education disciplines with the intent of serving public education. Students must have a major in the Department of Art, Design, Theater and Dance, or Music related to the visual or performing arts, or the Teaching Credential Program in Art Education. Students must be enrolled full time and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. All class levels are encouraged to apply.

Chancellor's Office State Wide Scholarship
This Scholarship is open to all majors. Students must be enrolled, and have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students (System-wide)
Students must have a current cumulative 2.8 GPA and must maintain that minimum throughout the academic year in which the award is received. Students must be full time equivalent undergraduate or graduate students and must remain as such for the entire academic year for which the award is received. Students must be legally blind and provide proof from a physician.

Dan and Nancy Cole Sacramento High School Math/Science Scholarship
This scholarship is to award a Sacramento High School student entering Sacramento State as a full-time freshman with financial need.  Applicant must have a 3.5 GPA, interested in the field of Math, Engineering, or Health and admitted to the General Education Honors Program beginning in the Fall semester.

Daniel C. Orey Equity Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all majors. Students must be an undergraduate, have a minimum of 2.5 GPA and be enrolled full-time. To be considered, students must submit an essay of no more than 1 page, single spaced response to the following question: "How have Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) issues such as bullying, marriage rights, and civil rights affected your academic success or career aspirations?"

Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Annual Living Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship assists deserving students who are juniors or seniors and who demonstrate financial need. Consideration will be given based on your academic standing. Students may only receive this award one time.

Dennis C. Crane Memorial Scholarship
Students must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have minimum 3.0 GPA at the time the scholarship is awarded and demonstrate financial need.

Dr. Gordon Glabe and Dr. Stanley Hughart Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students to honor the memories of Dr. Gordon Glabe and Dr. Stanley Hughart, both mathematics professors in the College of Natural Science and Mathematics, as well as assist students to advance their education. Students must be enrolled in at least half time as an undergraduate with a minimum 2.0 GPA to qualify.

Dr. Suzanne A. Snively Graduate Assistantship
This scholarship is to support current graduate teaching assistant or graduate assistant. Applicants must be eligible for candidacy in a master's program offered by CSUS department and unit load approve by department chair. New graduates must have minimum 3.0 GPA and continuing graduates must have minimum 3.5 GPA.

Duccini/Pasquini/Traversa Scholarship
Student must be an undergraduate, single parent, in good academic standing. Financial need is required. All majors are encouraged to apply.

Eleanor and John Zeltin Scholarship
This scholarship is available to undergraduates who are the first in their family to attend college. The minimum 2.5 GPA and full-time enrollment is required. Student must also demonstrate financial need.

Elizabeth Berry Dickison Scholarship
Students must be pursuing a degree in the fields of liberal arts (music, art, English, history, etc.).

Emily Sutton Shattuck Scholarship in Social Work
This scholarship encourages students in the social work career which involves working with children. Students must be an upper division or graduate student majoring in Social Work planning a career involving children and have financial need.

Eugene and Dena Salmon Scholarship
This scholarship honors the memory of Professor Emeritus Eugene M. Salmon and his wife Dena. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and financial need.

Frances E. and Donald Fuoss Memorial Scholarship
Students must be a graduate of Hiram Johnson High School. Student should be either music major at Sac State, or participate in vocal or instrumental musical groups, or perform singing or instrumental roles in university musical theatre productions. This award is open to undergraduate students with an overall 2.50 GPA and enrolled in at least half-time at time of award.

Franklin Stillwell Scholarship
Students must be undergraduate, re-entry students who have completed one year or at least 24 units at CSUS. Students can be of any major as long as enrolled in at least half-time at the time of the application and award.

Frederick Walden Brown Memorial Scholarship
Students must be majoring in Humanities, Liberal Arts, Education, Environmental Studies, or Music and maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA.

Geraldine T. Olson Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship encourages Nursing students. Students must be enrolled at least half-time within the Division of Nursing and have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA in their most recent semester. Financial need may be considered

Glenn and Dorothy Dumke Fellowship (System-wide)
The purpose of this fellowship is to encourage student scholars to engage in graduate work in fields such as public policy, American history, economics, archival management and government. Students must be a graduate student in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students must be studying in the areas of public policy, American history, economics, library science, archival management or government. The award must be used to pursue research projects within the Dumke Collection or other collections housed within the CSU archives at CSU, Dominguez Hills, the Center for California Studies at CSU Sacramento or other special collections within the CSU system. Must submit a Letter of Recommendation from a CSU faculty and transcripts. A Personal statement explaining 1) interest in American history and/or similar areas of California studies, 2) any prior work in the areas listed above and how it relates to the State of California and 3) focus of research project and a clearly defined plan of study.

Students must be undergraduates in any major with a 3.5 GPA. Financial need and full-time enrollment is required.

Helen Knesek Scholarship
Students must have completed at least one semester at CSUS and are in pursuit of a degree. All class levels except unclassified graduates are encouraged to apply. All majors are accepted.

Jennifer and Gary Gallelli Scholarship
Student must be a first-generation, first time freshman from Sacramento High School (Sac High). Student must live in on-campus housing for their first two years at Sac State. Student must be full-time, demonstrate financial need, and be majoring in one of the following: Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Science, Family and Consumer Sciences, Economics, Engineering, Geology, Nursing, Physics, Psychology, or Speech Pathology & Audiology. HS cumulative GPA must be above a 3.5. This scholarship is renewable for up to three years if the student maintains a 3.15 GPA for Freshman year, a 3.25 GPA for Sophomore year, and a 3.35 GPA for Junior and Senior year.

Jo Anne Marquardt (JAM) Hope, Empower, Love, and Peace (HELP)
Scholarship awards to students who have graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School. Student must be first generation in family to attend college, be entering Fall term as a freshman at the time of award with a 2.80 overall GPA for the junior and senior years in high school. Full-time enrollment and Financial Need is required at time of award. In addition, student must submit a letter of recommendation from a C.K. McClatchy High School faculty member and also brief written statement describing what he/she plans to study at sac state, and how this study will impact his/her personal and /or professional future.

John J. and Lillian C. Swacina
This scholarship assists needy and worthy Nursing students of all class levels except Second Bachelor students. Student may be enrolled half-time, majoring in Nursing, demonstrate financial need, and have at least a 2.0 GPA.

Judith Ann Hakari Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship assists deserving Nursing students at CSUS. Students must be an upper division student majoring in Nursing and have graduated from a Sacramento area high school. Renewable to recipients if students maintain a 3.0 GPA in Nursing and re-applies for this scholarship.

Judith K. Andres Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is to assist nursing students who are parents. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0, be a nursing major, be enrolled in her or his junior or senior year, be enrolled in at least half-time and have financial need.

Kerry Kendley Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to benefit a single parent or head of household wishing to obtain a college education. Student must be a single parent or head of household and enrolled in at least half time as an undergraduate with a minimum 2.5 GPA to qualify.

Lillian Stillwell Scholarship
Amount of award is $500. Students must be a re-entry student. Students must be enrolled in at least half time as a sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the application and award. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Marcia A. Boden Scholarship for Careers in Education
This Scholarship is to encourage and reward students interested in pursuing a career in education. Preference will be given to graduates of schools in the Twin Rivers Unified School District (or its successors) and the former Grant Joint Union High School District. Students must be enrolled in at least half time as an undergraduate or classified graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify.

Marian Weed Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all majors. Students must demonstrate financial need, be enrolled as undergraduates or classified graduates and have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Marion Muddox Scholarship
This scholarship provides encouragement and financial assistance to outstanding needy students. Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA, be enrolled full-time, and demonstrate financial need.

Nigel C. Bright Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all majors. Students must be Freshman or Sophomore, enrolled full-time and have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Osher Re-Entry Scholarship
The amount of this scholarship varies. Students must be an undergraduate re-entry student in good academic standing enrolled in at least half-time at the time of the award. Students must also demonstrate financial need.

Professor Norman and Evelyn Castellan
The amount of this scholarship is up to the amount of registration fees. This scholarship encourages worthy students. Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference may be given to students majoring in Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, Education and Music.

Professor Robert J. Else Scholarship
Student must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Art, enrolled full-time and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Reita E. Bell Scholarship
To scholarship honors the memory of the late Reita E. Bell, CSUS alumnae. Applicant must be a re-entry student. All class levels and majors accepted.

Robert S. Smart Memorial Scholarship
Student must be a Freshman majoring in Theatre, enrolled and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Ryan Huhn Memorial Scholarship
Students must be freshmen or sophomores with a 2.0 GPA and full-time enrollment.

Scott Adamson Memorial Scholarship
Student must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Design, enrolled in at least half-time and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Single Parent Scholarship
Open to undergraduates that are single parents. Students must be majoring in math, technology, or the sciences, have a 3.0 minimum GPA, be enrolled full-time and have financial need.

Small Grants/High Hopes Scholarship
Students must be enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at CSUS at the time the scholarship is awarded. Student must also demonstrate financial need.

Stan Pretzer Public Service Scholarship
This scholarship is to honor the memory of Stan Pretzer and assist Business, Public Policy, or Government majors who are juniors, seniors or classified graduates. Financial need is required. Undergraduates must be full-time and graduates must be half-time.

Stephen and Charlotte Walker Re-Entry Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any major and any class level. Students must be a re-entry student, have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled.

Susan Blad Seldin Scholarship
This scholarship honors the political and personal ideals of Susan Blad Seldin, founder of the Young Democrats Club at Sac State in the 1990's. Open to juniors, seniors, or classified graduates in any major. Full-time enrollment is required. To be considered, students must submit a 500 word essay on how this scholarship will further their education and career plans, as well as honor the legacy of Susan Blad Seldin.

The Affiliates Scholarship
This scholarship is to support students at CSUS and to honor the memory of Helen Dow, organizer and first president of the Affiliates. Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and be a junior or senior who demonstrate financial need. Full-time enrollment is required for this scholarship.

The Clara Rodriguez Scholarship
This scholarship honors the memory of Clara Rodriguez. Students must have a 3.0 minimum GPA, be of any undergraduate class level, and be enrolled full-time. Financial need shall be a primary consideration. Submit an essay of no more than one single-spaced typed page discussing how higher education may improve the lives of Hispanic women.

The Ghazi Karadsheh Scholarship for Excellence
This scholarship encourages students by providing financial assistance. Students must have completed one year of college education, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Leadership potential, community and extracurricular involvement, and academic achievement are considered.

Students must have completed one year of college education, have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Leadership potential, community and extracurricular involvement, and academic achievement are considered.

The James William Whitsell Scholarship
This scholarship provides assistance to all students. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered. Preference may be given to students majoring in History.

The President Alexander and Gloria Gonzalez Public Service and Community Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students who are California residents, studying any discipline and who are in good standing with the University. Special consideration will be given to students with financial need.  Students must be enrolled full-time, be a junior or senior attending fall and spring semesters in the following year, and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.  Applicants must submit essay of no more than two pages describing applicant's civic service, community service, accomplishments and career aspirations.  Applicant must also submit letter of recommendation from a member of the community regarding applicant's service to the community and/or letter of recommendation from a faculty, administration or staff member regarding applicant's service to the Sacramento State community. One scholarship shall be awarded each year in the amount of annual tuition, depending on the availability of funds.   Deadline for application and supplemental documentation is March 1, 2013.

The Renaissance Society Scholarship
Annually offers five $2500 scholarships to assist students in any field of study that can be related to the intellectual, social and health pursuits of retirement age people. Students must be enrolled in at least half-time, be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at the time of the award, and have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must submit an essay of no more than one typed page indicating how their field of study will influence and be useful to retirement age people such as members of the Renaissance Society, a learning-in-retirement organization at CSUS. http://www.csus.edu/org/rensoc Financial Need may be considered.

The River City Quilters Guild Scholarship
This scholarship is available to CSUS students who demonstrate experience in quilt making or have an objective to incorporate quilting techniques, quilting history or quilting theory into their academic/professional goals. Especially, though not exclusively, in the areas of fashion design, art, history, sociology or education. Open to all class level except for Freshman. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. To be considered, students must submit a 1-2 pages essay describing your interest in quilting, quilts made and techniques used. If students have not made quilts, the essay must describe why their interest in quilting is significant and how it will be pursued in an academic/professional setting to encourage quilting and/or the appreciation of quilts.

The Vera Koehler Clinical Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship encourages clinical Nursing students. Students must have been accepted into the clinical Nursing Department and enrolled in at least half-time within the Division of Nursing, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Preference may be given to students with demonstrated community service and devotion to a nursing career.

University of California, Davis Medical Center Volunteer Services
This scholarship assists former or current UCDMC volunteers. Students must be continuing in a pre-health field, have volunteered at the UCDMC within the past 2 years with a minimum of 40 hours completed in a 3-month period. Students who have received this scholarship must complete an additional 40 hours of service. Students must contact Volunteer Services for a written verification of volunteer status documenting the volunteer's position, dates of service and hours. A letter of reference from a UCDMC supervisor is also required. Documents must accompany the Scholarship Application.

William D. James Scholarship
This scholarship assists students who would otherwise be unable to attend school. Students must have resided in the Sacramento area for a minimum of ten years, be enrolled in at least part-time, and demonstrate financial need.

William and Janet Lahey Arts Education and Visual Arts Scholarship (System-wide)
One scholarship of $8,430 is available for students enrolled at least half-time in a post-baccalaureate program leading to a high school single subject teaching credential in the arts.  Applicants must submit a personal statement describing their background, personal achievements, community service (which would reflect a commitment to arts education or to community arts organizations) and future goals.  In addition, applicants must submit 2 letters of recommendation from faculty members who can certify the student's enrollment in a qualifying program and intent to contribute to art education in the schools or to visual arts.

William Randolph Hearst/CSU Trustees' Award for Outstanding Achievement (System-wide)
Each CSU campus will recommend one currently enrolled full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The CSU system-wide panel will select the winners. Eligible students are those who have overcome adversity, demonstrated financial need, and have attributes of merit including superior academic performance, exemplary community service, and significant personal achievements. To be considered, applicants must submit 2 letters of reference (1 must be from an academic instructor), and an additional essay addressing how they have overcome adversity and highlighting academic performance, community service, and significant personal achievements.

Wilson C. Riles Education (System-wide)
Students must be enrolled at least 6 units in the teacher credential program and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
