What Full Circle Project means to me: Full Circle Project is the space that made me wanting to wake up every day pursing an education and to shape my identity. For many first-generation college students, like myself, college was a culture shock. In this progressive world, especially in college, we tend to focus on what we want to do or what jobs we want to land after graduation. But with FCP, I’ve learned that to dig deep to see who I am as a whole, is already showing me where I am destined to be. My roots will help glide me to where I wish to be.  FCP reminds me that I [you] am/are the inspiration and FCP’s hope is to get me [you] to where I [you] want to be.

What Full Circle Project means to me: The Full Circle Project is a safe space. A program where I am able to laugh and cry with my fellow peers. A place where one can express their self-identity. A second family who will be there for you when you need them.

What Full Circle Project means to me: Full Circle Project (FCP) is an important aspect of my life because it ultimately promoted my success as a first and second year student by continuing to provide numerous resources and assistance. Full Circle Project’s welcoming environment allowed me to find a place where I am accepted. Although the learning communities were beneficial to my transition into college, the constant peer-to-peer connection and support that FCP offers, has encouraged me to grow mentally and spiritually as an individual.

What Full Circle Project means to me: Full Circle Project (FCP) to me is like a boat that came in time when I was about to drown in the reality of college life. FCP just didn't save me and many others like me, it's teaching me how to peddle this boat, and how to gather resources and connect to other boats that are saving others. While sitting in this boat heading to the main ground we are learning about this boat and how to improve it so once we get to the ground we can build a better, bigger, faster and improved ship that can save many more like us and help them get to the their ground. So really FCP is a family, family that adopt Students, help them get through college life and settle in the career world. Once they are standing on their feet, they can give back to the community in every way possible.

What Full Circle Project means to me: As cliché as this sounds, Full Circle Project means family to me. Prior to attending Sac State, FCP reached out to me and made me believe that I have found a new home as I leave my AVID class and I did find a place. I am beyond grateful to be part of the Full Circle Project Cohort 5 and the student staff team.

Quote you live by: "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't Settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it." - Steve Jobs

What Full Circle Project means to me: When I hear the words, "Full Circle Project" I think of inclusion, community, family and love. Honestly, that's just what it is.

What Full Circle Project means to me: Full Circle Project is like an older sibling to me. Because I’m the oldest in my family and the first to attend college, I don’t have any older sibling or relative to rely on when I have questions about college, or any personal issues I face. When I have something to ask, I would go to FCP for help. FCP also have resources provided for students, such as scholarship opportunities, mentors, and free test materials for low-income students. Without FCP, I would be lost in college, and I wouldn’t know who to go to for advice.
